The Btree reconstruction option fixes the Btree file if it becomes corrupted. Some information may be lost if the Btree is badly corrupted. Use this option as a trouble shooter if you are having system problems. Reconstructing the Btree file may solve the problem.
When you choose this option, the system reconstructs the Btree. A report showing any errors in the Btree file is generated and automatically displays on the screen. If the result displays any errors, contact a PayFacto software support specialist.
This option is used to create new files upon selection without deleting all records.

The tools provided in the Database module should be used with caution. Some of these tools allows the user to modify Maitre'D proprietary database files, which can result in permanent and irreversible loss of data.
Tools that allow modification of files should only be used by trained Maitre'D Support Specialists.
The Database option from the Maitre'D Desktop allows you basically to perform modifications to the live databases of your Maitre'D system.

This option checks all database files to make sure no files are missing or in the wrong format.
This option corrects the structure of a database file in the current directory. It is used to convert files when the software version is updated.
File Number:
Type in the number of the file you wish to update and then click on OK.
The Log option allows to start and view operations traces on the Database Module.
Log Level:
Three different Log level are available, Standard, Detail and Debug. This option is for trouble shooting purpose and should be use only with the supervision of your Maitre'D reseller.
Use the View key to access to log file.
This option allows to choose whether to display or not display the toolbar (all the icons at the top of your screens). This selection toggles from enable and disable. When there is a check mark beside the option, the option is enabled and you will see the toolbar.
This option allows to choose whether to display or not display the status bar (the line located at the bottom of your screen) or not. This selection toggles from enable and disable. When there is a check mark beside the option, the option is enabled and you will see the status bar.
Allow to choose to pint the last record or all records in the Error Log.

Enable this option to print only the last error log in the error log.
Print All Records:
Enable this option to print all errors log in the error log.
This option allows to view the error log of your Maitre'D system.

This is a sequential number to identify the error message.

Date
The date when the error occurred.

The time when the error occurred.

The access level in use when the error occurred.

The terminal number from where the error occurred.

A description of the error.
Database
The database from which the error occurred.
OS Error:
Error message reported by the operating system.
